How is the safety climate on your job site weathering?

When conducting training on safety and health management systems, it can be very useful to generate discussions about the safety climate on your job sites. Conversations centered on this particular topic can help put into perspective where your company’s safety program stands and help generate ideas for improving it. The Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR) has developed a safety climate assessment and training tool to serve as a resource for safety professionals and managers within the construction industry, although the tool is a great resource for any industry. The tool includes a workbook that provides information on eight leading indicators that assess the maturity of a company’s safety climate and identifies ideas for improving each indicator.
