Professional Development and Continuing Education Courses

NC State University Industry Extension Services’ Professional Development and learning services help you and your employees gain and maintain competencies that improve business performance and accelerate career growth. As part of the land grant outreach mission of NC State University, IES will work with any industry, from the coast to the mountains, from 1,000 feet underground to 30,000 feet up, to deliver results in quality, productivity, growth, energy management, safety and environmental health.

Our training is offered online, onsite, and in the classroom, and spans subject matter including project management, disaster preparedness, health and safety, environmental and quality auditing, process improvement and more.

The online, self-paced courses are a convenient way to meet your continuing education needs. Below are the courses that are available on demand, 24/7, with an objective to maintain, improve or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee’s field of practice.

According to the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, licensees shall obtain 15 Professional Development Hours (PDH units) during the renewal period.
