As you are celebrating your summer vacations with your family, I hope you are considering events to protect your work family during Safe + Sound Week August 13–19, 2018. Mark your calendar to plan activities and events around the three core elements of a successful safety and health program: management leadership, worker participation, and finding and fixing hazards.
Visit osha.gov/safeandsoundweek for ideas on how you can get started and sample activities you can customize to your organization—or create your own activities!
I look forward to hearing about your summer travels as well as your Safe + Sound week activities. Don’t forget the sunscreen and stay hydrated along the way.
MESHage: Heat. Humidity. Havoc. And Hazardous Waste
For. The. Love. It has been hotter than proverbial Hades in my part of the world and don’t tell me “it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.” Whatever it is–it’s wreaking havoc and, to quote Jane Austen, I have been in a “continuous state of inelegance!”
