Take Note

A Letter from the Director

As we start the year fresh with renewed goals, I hope you are finding new and innovative ways to improve your environmental, health and safety management system. Sustaining an effective EHS culture is dependent on visible leadership, frequent communication, hazard identification and avoidance, and training. If you need a few ideas to refresh your program, OSHA has developed a list of 10 easy things to get your safety and health program started.

This year, our staff will focus on developing training materials for youth workers (ages 16–24). If you train workers of this age group in construction hazards, please help us identify their unique needs by participating in this short survey. It should take no more than 10 minutes, and will greatly contribute to our mission of keeping workers safe and healthy.

Wishing you success in 2018,

Wendy Laing
