Bio
Michelle Daniels serves as the executive assistant to the NC State University Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) executive director and the associate executive director of Industry Expansion Solutions. In addition to providing administrative support to the executive office, she is responsible for the logistical management of the IES Advisory Board, IES core team and the IES management team. Michelle is also responsible stakeholder and partner management for North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP). Before coming to IES, Michelle worked for the New York City (NYC) government serving as the executive assistant to the deputy commissioner for the bureau of enforcement at (NYC) Department of Buildings. Before being promoted she served as the office coordinator and assistant to the Borough Commissioner of the NYC Department of Buildings, Development HUB. While working at the NYC Department of Buildings, Michelle was recognized for her exceptional service and dedication to the department and its customers by receiving the NYC Department of Buildings “Friday Feature,” highlighting the department's employees who go above and beyond. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an Associate of Science degree in law and paralegal studies from the City University of New York (CUNY) New York City College of Technology. Michelle is currently finishing up a Graduate Certificate in Professional Communication and Managerial Skills at North Carolina State University and will pursue a Masters degree in Criminal Justice at East Carolina University in 2024. In her spare time, she enjoys being in nature, going for walks and spending time with her family.
