As we enter the 2019 holiday season, I am thankful for the relationships that we have built in the classroom and at employer sites in the Southeast. It is a pleasure working with business owners and safety professionals sincerely interested in improving safety and health in the workplace. However, our work is not done. We continue to be challenged with reported accidents and fatalities in the workplace, and we strive to work with you to find new and innovative ways to minimize hazards and educate the workforce.
As you reflect on your safety and health performance this year, I hope you can establish meaningful goals and objectives for next year that advance your journey in workplace safety. Please connect with us at southeasternoti@ncsu.edu and check out our 2020 course calendar. We hope to see you at the NC Safety Congress November 13–15, 2019.
