Cost: $149.00

This course satisfies the annual training requirement of OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard, found in Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1910.120. The standard was specifically developed to protect workers who may be exposed to hazardous waste at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites and at EPA licensed waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities, as well as workers responding to emergencies involving hazardous materials, such as spills.

 

Duration:
Eight (8) instructional hours represents the estimated time to complete the online course, including exercises. However, actual times may vary from user to user.

 

Objective:
The goal of this OSHA-mandated training is to provide personnel involved with the clean-up of hazardous waste sites the knowledge to safely work in a hazardous environment. This course will refresh your knowledge and understanding of HAZWOPER requirements as required by 29 CFR 1910.120, and help you satisfy your annual refresher HAZWOPER training requirement.

 

Intended Audience:
This online course is intended for supervisors, environmental professionals, and other hazardous waste site personnel, including:
  • Workers in cleanup operations at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites;
  • Workers at EPA-licensed waste TSD facilities;
  • Workers responding to emergencies involving hazardous materials; and
  • Any individuals requiring annual OSHA 8 Hour Refresher training.

Although this course covers much of the information required by the regulations, many employers may find it to necessary to augment this online training with additional site-specific information and hands on training (such as reviewing site-specific health and safety plans and/or providing respirator fit testing).

There is a quiz at the end of each module and final assessment at the end of the course.  Following the successful completion of the final assessment, students can print their course completion certificate.

This is an online course.

Please Note: You have 6 months after you register to complete your requirements for your refresher for that year (ie. 2023 registration end date is 1/3/2023 — complete before 6/30/2024 to refresh for 2023). Be sure to register for the course that reflects the year in which you need to complete those requirements. There are no discounts available for this already low cost refresher course.
