NC State University Industry Extension Services (IES) is the trusted partner for management and technical assistance to North Carolina’s small and mid-sized businesses. With a focus on manufacturers, IES delivers professional training, coaching, supply chain, technology and workforce solutions and services that help businesses innovate, improve productivity, implement advanced technology, strengthen supply chains and accelerate growth.
As part of NC State University’s College of Engineering, IES connects companies with industry experts, hands-on training, assessments and strategic partnerships that solve operational challenges and build long-term competitiveness.
IES administers a portfolio of national, state, and regional initiatives that advance North Carolina manufacturing, including the North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP), the Manufactured in North Carolina (MNC) Network, the Southeastern OSHA Training Institute Education Center and defense manufacturing programs such as the North Carolina Maritime Manufacturing Initiative (NCMMI), providing businesses with the resources, expertise and partnerships needed to compete and grow.
