A Letter from the Director
I imagine you are experiencing, along with NC State, an unusual March without basketball, limited work and school activities, and regular news updates to stay informed about COVID-19. OSHA provides guidance and additional resources to assist you in keeping your workplace healthy. We are also preparing for the following initiatives:
- OSHA reflects on 50 Years of Workplace Safety and Health. While significant improvements have been made on reducing worker injury and fatalities, our work is not finished. Thanks to you all for continued service in this profession.
- Leading EHS programs require regularly evolving your leadership and communication skills. Consider participating in a newly launched leadership certificate program by NC State’s Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) that combines direct application of key leadership concepts and skills. We are very excited about this new program for frontline leaders!
- Start planning now for the national Fall Prevention Stand Down the week of May 4–8, 2020. Actively discussing methods to prevent a fall makes a difference in reducing fall fatalities.
Wishing you a winning season of EHS planning,
