Take Note

A Letter from the Director

I take delight in the new flower blooms and the longer days of sunlight as the spring season emerges. I also take delight when our organization is able to offer new training resources in meaningful and relevant topics for occupational safety and health. Keep us in mind this season as you consider growing your safety and health expertise.

  • We are happy to introduce a new course OSHA #7215 Silica in Construction, Maritime, and General Industries that covers the development and implementation of controls and strategies to prevent or mitigate respirable crystalline silica exposures. The initial offering of this 7.5 hour course will be held June 13, 2019 in Raleigh, NC. Learn more→
  • The time is now to plan your Fall Prevention Stand Down event during the week of May 6–10, 2019. Thanks to OSHA Susan Harwood Grant SH-31199-SH7, we are excited to provide you with new English and Spanish materials to train youth workers in fall prevention. Good luck in your efforts and share your successes at #StandDown4Safety.

Cheers to your continued growth,

Wendy Laing
