MFG Day

Manufacturing Day℠ is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Although Manufacturing Day officially occurs on the first Friday in October—any day in October can be a Manufacturing Day.

Manufacturing Day is a national event, held on the first Friday in October, celebrating those who produce goods and services in America. MFG Day is an initiative of The Manufacturing Institute, with the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association as a founding partner.

The purpose of MFG Day events across the nation is to highlight the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to connect and by opening their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders.

Host an Event

Please consider hosting an event on MFG Day, or any day in October. Your event will provide an opportunity to inspire the next generation workforce to explore manufacturing careers by hosting a tour and a manufacturing-related career day event for local high school and college students, parents and educators.

MFG Day is also an opportunity for manufacturers to host an open house and networking event to showcase products and processes for the local community members, elected officials, and industry leaders.
